| "One of the most incredible snare drums I have ever played! It takes 'Snare Tone' to a new level. The drum keeps it warm tone....While projecting all the way to the back of the venue. I can get a fat, wet sound, and still retain a beautiful crisp top end. It is Amazing!"... Monte Yoho-The Outlaws/Blackhawk |
| "For all of you who love the 2mm Brass, and you know I do, say hello to it's leaner, meaner little brother. This new 1.5 Steel has all the bark one has come to expect from a Beier snare, plus one hell of a bite! I think Jim has a real winner here"... Andy Parker-UFO |
| "I met Jim my while my band was on tour with Tesla. He let me check out his new snare drum for the live show. I knew from the very first hit at sound check that me-And the entire audience were in for a treat that night. Never had I used a snare that played so smoothly, yet yielded such power. That night I decided I wanted to own a Beier Snare, and now I do. It is the best snare I have ever played-Period"... Dave Plesh-Run Devil Run |
| "I bought the Beier Snare in 6.5 x 14, the day before the start of the 2010 Project Pitchfork Tour. After hearing so many good things about this drum-I wanted to give it a try. Wow-Those 20 shows on that tour were an absolute pleasure. The deep, full, warm-But clear and articulate sound was perfect every night. With Pitchfork-I hit it hard, and this drum isn't afraid of anything. Just finished my first recording with it. The sound engineer was amazed-No EQ was necessary. The drum is the most versatile metal drum I have ever played, and for sure my favorite brass drum. As a vintage freak, I would say that this drum matches easily with the legends"... | "I had the amazing opportunity to meet one of my drum heroes, Andy Parker after a UFO show. My first question to Andy was: 'What kind of snare is that? It's incredible!'. He told me it was made by Beier Drums, and gave me one of their business cards. I didn't hesitate and contacted Jim Beier the next day. Within a few weeks, I was the proud owner of one of his snare drums. This snare is so versatile! I can get the warm/vintage tone I like, or can tune it up and get a snap that cuts through everything. You can truly hear the craft that went into this drum. Jim obviously loves what he does, and it shows in his work. I'm blown away! Needless to say, this drum will be my mainstay for many years to come!". Mike Collins-Throwback Suburbia/Dan Reed/ Earl Slick |
